Illustration Friday: "Muddy"

Illustration Friday topic this week is "Muddy." I already had the pic of the nerd-girl on a postcard that was all wet, so I just changed to color of the water to brown and added a background story to it. This nerd-girl is sortof my "fall guy" who takes the brunt of everything. I think I want to use her to illustrated every I.F. from now on if I can make it work. I think that would be cool. Enjoy.

@Krista and ArtSnark - Thanks. I'm looking forward to the challenge to use this same character for all the the I.F. topics. Should be fun.

Thanks to everyone else. I would be lying if I said that it doesn't feed my ego and make me feel good when I get nice compliments.

Plus give you motivation to do more great work! Nice work this one, makes me laugh cause I am not the girl with mud! Great story telling too.

now, i gotta say...long red hair and specs and um, those really cool boyfriend jeans doesn't ALWAYS equate "nerd girl." you know, some days, mark, we don't look all THAT nerdy. (depends on the day, i guess.)

but those elton john specs...those are, actually pretty cool! "))

great illio!

HAHA. Yeah froggie, I wasn't trying to imply that ALL girls with red hair and glasses are nerds. I should know because I'm married to one! That's why I can get away with it.

Coooool, Mark. I think poor Nerd Girl is wonderfully illustrated. And to use her for all of your IF's may be a great sequence to a book idea perhaps? I've had fun with a character I've created, Monsieur Olivet..who pops in now and again at my blog..I look forward to seeing how NG works her magic here at your blog. : )
