Comic Creators for Freedom

Hey everyone, I'm participating in the Comic Creators for Freedom Project, a project to help end human trafficking. This year's participants are drawing "Awkward School Photos" of their creator-owned comic characters. So, I decided to do a school photo of Trigger from my mini-comic, Pest Control. If you're a comic creator and have your own characters, please participate! Click HERE for details.

Here's a side-by-side comparison of then and now:

Sneak Peek!

You guys want a sneak peek of Pest Control issue #2? Of course you do.

Here's a rough sketch of page one. Things seem to be looking pretty good for Conrad and Trigger's pest control business, but fame is a fickle mistress . What's going to become of our heroes? Stay tuned for more!

I Drew a Girl

Wow. Haven't posted anything in a LONG time! Sorry about that. To make up for it, here is a drawing of some girls. I don't draw girls much. I should do it more often. As you can see, I need the practice.

ROBO 6 Paper Toy!

Hey guys, exciting news! I'm going to be premiering my ROBO 6 mini-comic in print at this year's Denver Comic Con! So, to celebrate I've created a ROBO 6 paper toy for you to cut out and make.

I'm going to print out a bunch and give them away with each purchase of the mini-comic at DCC. But, if you can't make it, just view the full res image here on the blog by clicking on the image, or opening it in a new tab and then drag it to your desktop, or right-click and "Save image as". That's it.

If you make one, then email me an image and I'll put it here on the site! Happy creating! Enjoy!

COMMISSIONS!

Hi there. I've been getting a lot of commissions lately, so I thought that it would be nice to post my terms of service in one place and just refer my customers to it. So, here are my terms when doing commissions:

1) You send me photos of the person you want me to draw, whether it's you or someone else. Also, any images from the web that you want me to look at for inspiration or ideas. (Keep in mind that I won't completely copy another artist's work because that's messed up).

2) I send you a rough sketch of your piece. This is the main area where I will make any revisions, if any. I will continue to send rough sketches and revisions until you are happy with where it is going. But I have my limits and will not make revisions forever without compensation.

3) I send you an "inked" piece. I can make minor alterations at this stage, but nothing big.

4) When finished, I will send you a low-resolution, watermarked file for final approval. At this point I can change the color of things, but nothing more.

5) After final approval, you send me payment, either by check in the mail (I'll give you my address at this point) or PayPal.

6) Once I receive payment, I send you the full-resolution file for you to do whatever you want.

Disclaimer: I live in a small town with ZERO printing facilities, so I do not offer any sort of print to mail to you.

Anyways, that's it. Those are my terms of service for commissions. Hope to hear from you soon.

Good News and Bad News

Hey there blog followers. I'm sorry that I haven't posted anything for MONTHS! This is the reason for this post. I have some really GOOD news (for me) and BAD news (for you).

I have been REALLY swamped with work for a while. Which of course, is awesome. But, I've been so busy that I have neglected YOU, the reader. And for that, I apologize.

I've been working on a graphic novel for a small publisher, which I still can't talk about (NDA), and I just got hired by a website called MediaChalk to be their permanent artist. On top of these two time consuming jobs, I'm still doing commissions and logo design. So, my time has been far spent.

So, I'm sorry for the lack of posts, and hope that you can forgive me. I will do better at posting things when I can.

Thank you for understanding, you're awesome.
