My book is finally DONE!
Any ideas on how to sell this thing?
I'm going to go to some shows and art fairs and sell it there, but I'd like to sell them in more than one way. Maybe through etsy or something? I know they only let you sell homemade stuff on there, but maybe this counts, even though I'm not printing it myself.
Anyways, as soon as it's printed, I'll let you know. I think I'm going to set up an etsy shop.

Rejected!
I don't know if I've said this or not, but I'm breaking my book up into 2 books: boy and girl. Anyways, this illustration is a girl book rejection. I thought that a female clown would be cool to put in the book, but it's not quite fantasy enough. I needed something more fanciful. So, I only had the sketch of the girl clown and for kicks decided to give it a little color. So, for no real reason other than because I felt like it, I present to you this female clown. Enjoy.

Sloppy Monster
Another page from my book. It's pretty self explanatory. It's a monster in a diner horking down a ton of food. Above is the finished piece and below is the half way through work in progress. I trashed the sketch. Wish I would have kept it. I usually do keep sketches, but I didn't this time.
I've changed up my book a little bit. Not to give away too much, I had it going boy-girl-boy-girl, etc. I though I was being a genius because it was a book for everybody. But after getting off my pedestal I realized that the boys are going to want to skip over the girl parts and visa versa. So now I'm going to do 2 seperate books, boy and girl. Clever right? I know. The most obvious solution came to me after I was more than half way through this thing. Anyways, I had to add some more cool stuff to this book like monster, ninja, and wizard. I'll be honest, I'm not looking forward to doing the girl stuff. I really bite at it.
Anyways, enjoy.

Rocketeer Dinosaur Punch!
Let me explain. I'm following Jerzy Drozd from the Art & Story podcast, and from Make Like a Tree comics, and Sugary Serials (links on the right). Anyways, after speaking with an artist by the name of Chris Oatley (look him up, he's flipping awesome) he made the comment that he felt like strapping on a jetpack and punching a dinosaur. After I regained my composure, I had this image in my head of the Rocketeer punching a pterodactyl, so I had to draw it. I needed a break from what I was doing anyways, so this fit. Enjoy.
