Here is my first sketch for page 10 of my book. The book is not a flowing story, so I'm just drawing the pictures as feel like it. I feel like drawing dinosaurs now, so I'm doing the dinosaur page, which is page 10.
So my wife and I are writing a book which I will be selling at Fandemonium in Idaho ( www.fandemonium.org ). Here is the second page of the book. I'm trying to make it look more "comic book" then usual. I think my style already has a bit of comic book/graphic novel feel to it, but for this project I am trying to make it MORE than it usually is. I'm not going to give any too much, but for this book I'm going to be drawing ALL of my loves: Knights, Pirates, Dinosaurs, Mermaids, Superheroes, and more. It's gonna be sweet. The main thing is making time to work on it while doing my other freelance work.
Here is a little warm up sketch to get the juices flowing. Okay, so it's a little more than a sketch. I got a carried away. Well, come on, it's the Hulk. How could I not get carried away?
This is a revision of the previous post. This one turned out much, much better I think. I got some really good feedback from the client. I think this will be all I post with this one until I get permission to do more.
The top one there is for a children's book I'm currently working on. The one below is the REDO for that Disappearance Plague poster. Juicy tidbit: That guy in the lower-left corner with the glasses is me. Cool, right? Yeah, you're right. It's not that cool.
